Maine's official flag was adopted in 1909. The flag has a deep blue field with the state coat of arms in the center. The coat of arms pictures a farmer and a seaman (representing agricultural and maritime industries). A shield is between them, upon which is a pine tree, a moose (the state animal of Maine), green grass, a blue sky, and deep blue water. Above this is a yellow star (representing the North Star - Maine was the northernmost state when it entered the Union) and a red ribbon that reads, "DIRIGO," which means "I direct" in Latin. Below, a large blue ribbon reads, "MAINE."

Wild Child Farm
Wild Child Farm is a family style boarding facility in Central Maine. We offer a 65X150 ft indoor arena, 17 - 10x12 and larger matted Stalls, an 80x150ft outdoor arena, large grass turnouts, dirt paddocks and miles upon miles of trails. All on a very quiet country street just 1/4 mile from the fairgrounds. On staff instructor offers lessons in Dressage and jumping and outside instructors are welcome with approval. We welcome all disciplines and breeds.

Triple J Farm is located on Rt. 201 in Bowdoin, Me. We offer boarding, in-barn leases, horsemanship programs for youth and adults, lessons, camping & therapeutic riding. We are a fun, relaxed, family oriented farm with 10x12 stalls, 120x80 outdoor arena, acres of pasture, miles of multi-use trails and even a golf course next door. We feed Nutrena products 2X daily and hay 3-4X daily. Full board rate is $250.00. Visitors always welcomed!!!
Andwemet Farm
Andwemet Farm is a family orientated boarding facility. We have a large lighted outdoor arena, round pen, paddocks and pastures. Horses each have their own stall in the winter and are out in the summer. The horses do get turned out daily. We feed Poulin Grain twice a day and free choice hay. We supply heated water in the winter. We give riding lessons at the farm for those who are interested. We have places to trail ride and sponsor horse shows at our facility. We are a very active barn.

Instruction in English and Western pleasure as well as vaulting by an ARIA certified instructor, or you may use your own instructor. Monthly clinics. Children and beginners are welcome.
